Day 5 - Texas
We just finished our last single night stay. Here are some pictures from where we stayed last night:
The front gateThe arcade and video
Our parking space - nice backup:)
The drive was our longest yet: 366 miles. This does not seem a lot but it is when towing a travel trailer. We decided to go through downtown Houston in order to save time. It did but was very stressful. There were lots of merging and lane changes. The good new was there was not a lot of traffic. We have pretty much got into the habit of driving in the right lane so you don't have to be as accurate in keeping in your lane. Well Houston does not allow that, with lots of lanes being added and removed, plus a lot of curving. Kudos to Vicki for driving it.
Yes, Max continues to keep track of the travel trailer.
We finally get to our over night stay in Bastrop TX. This is our first multi-night stay, which is the way we want to do it. It is a 5 star B&B with RV parking and electricity. More on that to come ...
