Day 1
We began the day with my sister's family seeing us off:
It then took us an hour and half to take off, having to over come the batteries being dead, getting the sway bars in place, getting the tongue on the hook right and getting the SUV's leveling to work. This was not the best way to start out but we made it out around 10am.
It was a windy day so the trailer was swaying back and forth quite a bit.
The month before we spent a lot of time training our dog to make sure he would watch the trailer to be sure it was still there:
We get to the camp. The idea is to get a pull through and leave the SUV connected, that way no connecting the SUV to the trailer in the morning, which is a major chore for us. Well the spot is about 5 feet too short. We'll see what happens in the morning :)
Miles traveled via trip kit: 286.6 miles.
Tomorrow, we take on day 2 of our 4 day trip to Bastrop, TX. Of course we get to go through Atlanta GA.
