Day 24: Solving the problems
Max gets his shot, but we find out we have to wait 48 hours to make sure he does not have an adverse reaction to the shot. This means delaying our trip to the Grand Canyon for one day. Luckily, the Grand Canyon has a nice cancellation policy. We were able to cancel the 25th and get our money back.
Vicki was able to get an appointment at Mirveta's dentist at 130pm. The dentist said he would have normally put a crown on the tooth; however since she will not be in town, he put a big filling in.
Mirveta fixed a really good Salmon dinner with green beans and salad with wine. Sorry, I forgot to take some pictures.
I have been spending the last few days trying to figure out where to take pictures at the Grand Canyon. It turns out there are a lot of places on the south rim to take pictures. My original plan was to spend the time before the family gets to the GC to do as much of the sunrise/sunset picture taking done. Well, I lost a whole day. So, I hope it does not really matter where I go, I should be able to get a good picture.
There is, also, a new moon tomorrow. I am trying to figure out where to take a picture on the south rim of the milky way. The only place that might work is the the Desert View Observation Tower which is 20+ miles away, probably about an hour driving. I did do some checking using Stellarium and the Photographer's Ephemetis, which showed I could use the tower. Still trying to dicide.
