Day 59: Shoshone Falls
Monday, May 29, 2017: Memorial Day
We have a lazy morning today, but eventually get going, pick up our new rental car. It is some kind of Jeep.
The plan to go to Shoshone Falls Park and Craters of the Moon National Monument & Preserve gets modified to just Shoshone Falls Park. We figured doing both would be 4-5 hours of just driving. So we take off late morning to the falls. Max is such a pain during the trip he just whines and pants heavily. I begin to worry how he/we are going to survive a multi-day trip back to North Carolina.
Max is such a pain during the trip to Shoshone Falls trip that I am definitely glad he is not coming with us. I also begin to worry about the trip home. We probably won't be able to get home in the 9 days of rental we have.
I decide today I want Italian food. So, we look on the web and also ask at the front desk. They suggest Buddy's Italian Restaurant, which is known for it's salads. So we call the place and no one answers. I am determined that we are going to have one of their salads. I get in the car and drive there; it is only 8 minutes away. Actually, if you want to go to any part of the city from the hotel, it is 8-10 minutes. It turns out since it is Memorial Day they are closed. Bummer!!! Vicki finds a pizza place, Pizza Pie Cafe, that is 10 minutes from where I am and we have pizza. This looks like an upscale CiCi's. It would have been cool to eat there, but alas, we have Max.
One thing I just noticed, except for taking a trial picture, I have not taken any pictures with my Canon or Olympus cameras since the accident.
Todo list for tomorrow so far:
