Day 54: Provo

Wednesday, May 24, 2017

This morning I get up for sunrise with the idea of walking to the state park down the road.  When I talked to the gate person last night she said the gates would be open at 5am.  I arrived after 5am and it was open.  I skip getting my day pass for now in order to get to the sunrise location.  When I get to the location I find out the gnats are still there.  There are 1000s of them and they don't leave you alone.  The don't seem to be biting though.

I find some white pelicans on the lake.

Landing

Cottonwood seeds ready to fall with the next wind.
Cottonwood seeds.  I used to call it Texas snow.  It was coming down like snow.

On the way back I pass a self storage place that collects old signs and cars.

After lunch I take off for some exercise on the Rock Canyon Trail.  It is right by Brigham Young University.

When I get back Vicki does some laundry.

Waiting for laundry.
