Wednesday, May 24, 2017 This morning I get up for sunrise with the idea of walking to the state park down the road.  When I talked to the gate person last night she said the gates would be open at 5am.  I arrived after 5am and it was open.  I skip getting my day pass for now in order to get to the sunrise location.  When I get to the location I find out the gnats are still there.  There are 1000s of them and they don't leave you alone.  The don't seem to be biting though. I find some white pelicans on the lake. Landing Cottonwood seeds ready to fall with the next wind. Cottonwood seeds.  I used to call it Texas snow.  It was coming down like snow.  On the way back I pass a self storage place that collects old signs and cars. After lunch I take off for some exercise on the Rock Canyon Trail.  It is right by Brigham Young University.

Tuesday, May 23, 2017 Today we said goodbye to Zion and Hurricane, UT.  We began our journey to Yellowstone National Park.  We have reservations at there for May 29. We made it to Provo, UT without a hitch (pardon the pun).  We are staying at the Lakeside RV campground.  Here are some pictures. Provo River It turns out we are less than a 1/2 of a mile from Utah Lake State Park.  So Max & I walk down there after dinner to case the joint.  This includes talking to the person at the gate who tries to charge me $2 to case the joint.  I tell her I don't have any money on me.  She thinks about it and lets me in.  If I come in the morning I need to pay my $2.  I see a couple of cool angles that I want to get for sunrise but there are 1000s of gnats flying around.  I don't think they bite but they are surely a nuisance.  Hopefully they won't be there tomorrow.
